What'd I miss?

I just got back from my second "retreat" in 5 days at 2 different YMCA camps in the area. Last week, I missed class because I was with 70 9th graders at Camp Jewell in Colebrook, CT, and I just got back from Frost Valley in Claryville, NY. There were a couple examples of art as therapy on both trips. The 9th graders were crazy. They could not be controlled. We had a deaf and blind adventurer lined up as a guest speaker, and we were really nervous about their behavior. As an effort to put the students in a calm place, one of the instructors played her ukulele as the students entered the room for the speech. It didn't really work, but luckily the speaker was engaging enough that the students behaved. On the 6th grade trip, a few students were nervous that they were not going to be able to fall asleep without listening to music, since their electronics were taken away from them for the trip. After 5 days in the cold and surrounded by children, I am definitely looking forward to a day on campus. So what did I miss last week in class?
