Art share-out of darkness

Black is my favorite color. I still remember the first class, when professor asked us to pick a color that could represent ourselves, I chose black and I was the only one who chose black. Black is always attractive to me. When I heard about that we were going to paint on the black paper, I felt excited. I was glad that I had chance to draw something on the black paper . When I was thinking about things that came out darkness, the sun and stars popped up in my mind. After drawing a sun on the black paper, I felt it was so cliche. Then I started to think about something that meaningful to me. Yes,  a tree. Nothing is more powerful and lively than a tree. It stands there all the time no matter smoggy, sunny, windy and  chilly. It is so strong and independent. Maybe these qualities are what I want to have when deal with adversities. So I ended up drawing a tree.  The process was not as easy as I expected. Due to the black paper, it was difficult  to paint light colors such as green and yellow on it. In order to let my tree have beautiful color, I had to color  leaves again and again. It was kind of frustrating.  But I am satisfied with it. I feel maybe it is my best painting ever.
