Swamy

After class I was very unhappy on my character and the way I incorporated the colors in the background. Initially the affect I was attempting to create was a waterfall with some form of landscape of rocks to bring out the colors of the waterfall. As you can see in the picture, I used oil pastels and acrylic paint to create the background. At first, I assumed the oil pastels were going to give the rocks a nice 3D affect as I was attempting, however as time was running out I began to mix colors for the waterfall which made me think of the New Yorkers we see on the street that create beautiful landscapes in a matter of minutes. Sadly, I felt that in some ways I could've done a better job with my character.
