From Darkness there was Light
I took a picture of the art we created on a black paper and changed the image from color to grayscale. The result blew me away! This looks like a birth canal...more so than the original image that hinted at that but not quite. I was thinking of something along the lines of an abyss or a spiral, but never associated it with the birth of something. Looking at this, I can relate to it in a very personal way. Being in New York has been somewhat like a rebirth for me and I feel that this art poignantly represents that for me.

I really like your image. The direction of the image seems to rise. In other words if i were a person in the image it would seem as though i cam crawling out of darkness and toward light appearing at the end of a tunnel. I certainty see a relation to birth. It also reminds me of the movie James and The Giant Peach. There is a scene where he crawls into the peach and as he does he changes into a bright cartoon character. And so, although the image seems dark in many ways for me it represents positiveness.
